Bristol Volksfest 2014
So this weekend we were at Bristol Volksfest. It’s a weekend of camping and dubbing. We popped along on for the Sunday to check it out. It was an awesome chilled out day. There was a great turn our and it’s not your normal scene queen show and that’s no bad thing. Don’t get me wrong I love a big budget build as much as the next guy but when you’ve got stunningly clean MK5 GTi’s like Robin Marriott’s Golf in the same field as a bunch of muddy Beetle Baja’s you know you’re in for a treat. ...

at M4DUB.com we have our Leon Cupra R in our long term fleet. If you’ve had a look round the site or been on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/m4dubvw then you will have already seen it. It started life as a standard 210 BHP Leon Cupra R. It was bought as an MOT Failure that we planned to us as a donor for a 20V turbo conversion in a MK2 Golf. But I said “why don’t we do the work and run it for 6 months?” Famous last words!!! After no time at all I decided that it was a really nice car to drive as a daily with the...

So we’ve been really busy lately and this one has slipped by without much attention. Well it’s time to introduce Project – Budget Ibiza. It’s a Seat Ibiza 1.2 12v. We’ve just been running it around for the last couple of months. When we first got it there was a nasty leek from the water pump. So that got swapped out the next day along with a full service and that’s it, it’s just been driven every day. The little Ibiza has covered about 3,000 miles in the last couple of months. The front bumper...

We’ve got something new in the workshop, we’ve not introduced you to it yet. We’ll be giving it a facelift and a fresh coat of Plasti dip. We’ve got this set of wheels, currently in 3 different colours (Grey, White and Silver) but nothing a fresh coat of matt black dip won’t sort out. So with this and a fresh set of Yokohama Prada spec 2′s they’re going to look...

So a little while ago a friend called me to see if I would be interested in buying his MK2 van. Well I wasn’t going to pass up the chance to own a van. I’ve been looking at buying one of these for ages! So Sam and I jumped in the Caddy and went to take a look. This is what was waiting for us. So with it being a non runner, painted badly in matt black and having some really shocking wheels it was still a case of not being able to get the cash out quick enough. After quick inspection it turned out that the engine loom was full...

So we’ve been really busy over the last to weeks, we’ve been flat out 7 days a week and the workshop is jam packed. If you follow our Facebook page then you’d have seen that the gearbox on my Leon decided to tear the thread out of the dog bone mount. So with the Leon off the road awaiting a new gearbox I’ve been driving the worlds worst MK4 Golf. This golf is a prime example of how not to look after a car. It’s a V reg golf GTi 2.0 so the engine...

This is a show that I look forward to every year. The MK2 Golf owners club is a great friendly club and one that I’m happy to be involved in. Sam and I arrived on the Thursday evening, we’d had a day where everything that could go wrong did so we were happy and relieved to make it there. But as soon as we arrived we were met by Chris and Michelle (Who founded the club) along with a handful of other members, we pitched the tent and had a catch up with the guys. As I fired up the BBQ Freddy came over with a big bottle of Vodka and...

So the Leon was bone dry today, so I drove round the corner to my local Shell station and filled the tank. £80 later and the tank was full, my daily is a Seat Leon Cupra R so I’m no stranger to the filling station. I checked the trip computer and it said I had a range of 270 miles, ouch what a slap in the face. But I’ve got the next 4 days off work so it got me thinking, what am I going to do with those 270 miles? It’s that special feeling when the fuel gauge is full and you feel like you can go anywhere! The truth is...
